The annual Harbour Gala draws large crowds to Girvan and it is very relaxing to take a walk round the harbour on a nice day. There is a lifeboat...R.N.L.I. "Sylvia Burrell" manned by a volunteer crew on call 24 hours a day, ready to go out in any weather to help sea-farers in distress.
