Girvan sits on the coast some 22 miles south of the county town of Ayr. It is well known for it's Easter international cycle race, the Folk Festival and the Jazz Festival to name but a few of the events held here during the year. Girvan is also an ideal place to be based for touring the south west of Scoltand.
